Want an easy and fun costume in a flash? The great thing about Halloween and Goodwill is that we’re chocked full of Halloween costume pieces, ideas, and decorations! While watching an old movie one night, I saw a showgirl costume featuring a spider headdress. This inspired me to come up with my own version utilizing items I found at Goodwill! Keep in mind, you can use almost any lightweight Halloween decoration to create a spooky fascinator! What you’ll need to make this cool, spooky, yet spectacular head piece is listed below!

• Spider decoration: $2.99 at Goodwill
• Assorted beads and rhinestones: (Cost depends on how elaborate you want to get)
• Wide black headband plastic or cloth: $3.99 at the drugstore
• Hot glue gun

Simply glue the bottom of the spider (or other Halloween decorations) to the headband. I also added some black ribbon over it to strengthen.

The spider I found was sequined, so I added big black button eyes, as well as assorted black plastic beads and stones on the legs and back of the spider. 

Now, to set off my cool headgear, I opted for a flame red wig that I happened to have in my collection.  You could use your own hair, or opt for any kind of wig. Just remember that the black widow stands out more against colored hair, or a lighter wig, etc.

To finish my glamorous, yet lethal look, I found a perfect dress that was a bias cut chiffon for $7.99.  You could also just wear all black clothing and let the topper do the talking as well.

Halloween is one of our favorite times at Goodwill because it’s so much fun seeing people create their own unique looks from our fantastic selection of donated items! Now go get your ghoul on!
