Summer clothes can be perplexing for some people. You might ask yourself, how can I remain sophisticated, but still appear fun-loving when it comes to my fashion choices? Well, this week you’re in for a feast for your eyes, as well as your mind. Following is a collection from fashion designer, Chris Benz. This particular collection was on display during New York Fashion Week a few years back in the atrium of Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center. Models stood on boxes, and the press was allowed to photograph each look. Benz’s signature designs include use of color, texture and prints, as well as subversion of traditional dressmaking codes and techniques. Celebrities and fashion magazine stylists, LOVE his work. In my photos below you’ll see Kelly Osbourne and Hailee Steinfeld in attendance. Benz’s collection is available in stores throughout United States, Canada, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, and he is currently the design director for Bill Blass. Take note of his use of unusual color, prints, and the proportions of his garments. This isn’t your everyday mix-and-match, but it’s definitely a well-crafted artistic approach to getting dressed!
