Part of the great fun of attending Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in NYC is snapping photos of all the stylish people on the street as they enter or leave one of the many fashion shows around Lincoln Center, as well as the rest of the city that never sleeps. Nothing could be a better reflection of the way fashion is interpreted by folks of all genders, ages, ethnicities and economic classes. Not everyone who comes to fashion week is a wealthy socialite, so most of the people in these photos are just like you and me - simply put, people who enjoy pulling together interesting looks and making the streets of New York their runway. Look closely at the pictures and you’ll see these happy people are using fashion as an integral part of how they communicate to others about who they are in the world! There will be no explanation about the pictures here simply because these shots speak volumes about the confidence and joy that comes from being your authentic self. Whenever I look at these photos I can’t help but think about upping my own style game for spring! Most of these shots were taken during the September shows over the past few years …

As you can see from the photos in the image gallery, personal style is just that - ALL YOU!
