Kaitlyn’s outfit is a great example of bold fashion for summer. When you find stylish pieces at Goodwill who says they can't be transformed into a fabulous statement without going over the top? The key is all about proportion! This floral Donna Rico designer dress ($14.99) was a perfect fit for Kaitlyn’s unique style. With details like a self-belt, and pockets, it would be difficult to find anything better for the season's festivities. Adding to the dressy nature of this dress are the leather Vince Camuto designer pumps with multicolor snakeskin detail ($9.99)! When wearing bold pieces you need to scale back a bit on the jewelry, so we opted for floral earrings and a bracelet that were just $4.99 each at Retique. Fresh and pretty with a little edge is style perfection in my book!
The models you see in this blog are actual Goodwill shoppers who donated their time to participate in our annual Amazing Looks photo shoot. All clothing was selected from our very own Goodwill Store & Donation Centers and styled by Goodwill Fashion Expert, Bjorn Nasett. Hair and makeup was provided by Kitty Tierney of Impressions and all photography was created by Jessica Kaminski of Refinery Milwaukee.
All images for Goodwill's Amazing Looks prior to 2019 were supplied by John Grant Photography.
Chris is a Goodwill shopper who loves laughter and fun. What better way to show that than through fashion? For this ensemble Chris wore his own jeans and shoes and I added a funky cat print t-shirt in a bright blue ($3.99), worn under a Hawaiian print cotton shirt ($4.99). The blues and grays added a little contrast and cohesion to the t-shirt. Monochromatic outfits are always on point when you blend similar tones to create fun looks. Chris loved the unique glasses ($1.99), so I gave them to him after the shoot. He felt confident and extremely happy, and isn't that what it's all about? Shop, create, smile!
