Haley was our 2013 model contest winner, and she sure does look like she took the prize for this outfit! When putting together separates you have to allow one unique piece to really stand out. For example, the skirt here, in a watercolor-like print from The Limited, was a great start for the rest of the pieces to compliment. At only $4.99, I would venture to say this skirt, much like the one our other model this month, was money well spent! A sequin top in black is a perfect piece to have in your closet. Seriously, this wardrobe work horse can be dressed up or down, and this one, a Field Manor tank totally compliments the skirt without detracting from it. A subtle, sparkly top like this is a wardrobe staple in my book. TIP: Look for sequin tops that fit well in neutral tones like gray, black, white and taupe next time you’re shopping at Goodwill. You’ll be amazed at how they can transform a dowdy blazer and jeans into fashion! Now to layer on some accessories, we used some black feather earrings, a fabulous pendant necklace with green beading, and a multi-color bracelet to create a sophisticated and fun look. The icing on the cake is the on-trend pair of black patent leather Mary Jane-style shoes from Calvin Klein that were priced at just $6.99. Each and every item here is a winner, and would be great wardrobe builders for any young lady’s closet! She looks truly AMAZING don’t you think?
