Jody M. - Tennis Racket Necklace
I made a necklace and earring set from a vintage wooden tennis racket found at Goodwill. Cutting the handle into slices revealed the various colors of wood stacked together to make the racket. A clear finish brought out the vibrancy of the wood.

Bought a white table cloth for $2.99 and two $0.99 leather belts from Goodwill and crafted them into these fashionable, practical, beautiful handmade white totes with sturdy leather belt straps—perfect for a trip to the Farmer’s Market, a beach day with the family, or a trip to the library! I love Goodwill!

Susi M. - Sweater Mittens
I upcycle wool sweaters into mittens. I use wool sweaters and buttons from old jackets. It takes approximately 3-to-4 sweaters to make one pair of mittens. The leftover jacket fabric will be used to make doll clothes.

These stylish upcycled cuff bracelets were made from five different genuine leather belts from Goodwill, then embellished with crystal medallions, rivets, and snaps.

Betsy - Side Table Cat Bed
I purchased a few fun items from a few local Goodwill locations. I used a side table, a sign and a tray to create an elevated cat bed with stairs. I took the legs off the table and turned the top over and attached the legs to what was the top of the table, the bottom had a great barrier so the pillow does not fall off the top. The steps were made from the sign and the tray. I also purchased a bag of fabric scraps, there were a few big pieces and I created the pillow out of that fabric. I then painted the whole thing black. The whole creation cost me around $25. Our 16 year old cat loves it, he walks up the stairs and lays on the pillow. Thanks to this contest I was inspired to make this and he is happy to have an easy to access resting spot.

I purchased a queen size, flat sheet and turned it into a men's dress shirt. My husband gets compliments everywhere he goes!

Brett M. - Globe Lamp
A lamp without a shade and a globe were found at Goodwill. Together, they make a globe lamp. The globe was cut apart and sprayed on the inside with heat resistant grill paint. A strip of burlap was added to the equator. Everything was purchased at Goodwill except the paint and burlap.

I created this puppet theater using a picture frame, wooden posts, wide ribbon, string, scarves and lace boot cuffs from Goodwill stores.
