Father's Day Frame-Up

Posted by Jamie Klinger-Krebs on Jun 7, 2012 3:00:00 PM

Get crafty this Father’s Day. Even the littlest kids can get involved in this simple frame project for dad.

ask the experts amazing goodwillGoodwill is a great source for frames in all shapes, sizes and finishes. Look for one with wide molding.

I wanted a solid color so my words would stand out. A couple of coats of spray paint (I chose brown) and you’re ready to start.

Cut out letters from magazines to spell whatever words are appropriate for your dad. Magazines pages printed on heavier paper work better than thin paper issues.

Arrange the letters around the frame until you get a composition you like. This is an art project, so don’t worry about perfection. Let the youngsters do the cutting.

Adhere the words with Mod Podge and let dry. Dad will love a framed photo of the kids, especially if they made it themselves.
