King

King successfully completed his first rotation in December as a Project SEARCH intern at the Milwaukee County Zoo. He worked in the Education department. He did most of the prep work for the classes that included die casting, animal shapes, taking inventory of classroom supplies, tracing animals, and cutting and gluing.

Terra

Terra worked in the Zoological Society for her first rotation. She really came out of her shell during this internship. Terra is usually shy and soft spoken, but by the end of her rotation, she was able to contribute to her coworkers’ discussions and able to initiate conversations with people.

Nick

It’s easy to see why Nick L. enjoys his job as a Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Worker at the Wisconsin Athletic Club(WAC) in Menomonee Falls.

“I love the people, both the staff and the guests. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. It’s a fun place to work.”

Brittany

“Now that I met my goal of getting a job, my next goal is to find my own place.”

Brittany W. reached her first goal when she was hired as a Dining Room Attendant at Serb Hall in January 2015. She assists with event set-up duties which include setting out tables/chairs, linens, rolling silverware, cleaning and bussing tables. She works in a team environment where she is able to demonstrate her strong individual working skills.

Joey

Whether it’s sharing laughs with his coworkers at Serb Hall, riding his bike around Milwaukee, or playing basketball, Joey has a good time in any situation- even cleaning his house!

If you ask Musetta about her future dreams, she does not hesitate with her response. “I want to get my degree in child care. Then I want to move to California and work in child care.”

Terry

Terry always wanted to be the father and husband his family could count on – a role model to his children and responsible contributor to society. After several years in and out of incarceration for past mistakes, Terry needed the world to see the changed man he had finally become.

Katya

Katya

Staying busy at her job is what motivates Katya. As a dining room attendant at Culver’s, Katya’s work-first attitude does not go unnoticed by the staff and customers.

“Everybody here has been happy with Katya,” says Supervisor Kim in describing her work ethic. Katya also receives warm compliments from appreciative customers.

Aaron

Customers visiting Cici’s Pizza for lunch on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays will find Aaron, a participant of Goodwill’s Supported Employment Program, hard at work.

Aaron is an usher, lobby attendant, and ticket taker during the lunchtime hours at Cici’s. His job duties include clearing tables of dirty dishes, wiping tables and chairs, and assisting with dishwashing tasks.

Chris & Jerome

For the past seven months, Chris W. and Jerome R. have been spending their Tuesday afternoons at the Urban Ecology Center located within Milwaukee’s Washington Park. At the Urban Ecology Center, Chris and Jerome are preparing themselves for jobs in the community by gaining experience volunteering through Goodwill’s Community Access Program. Jerome likes to focus on office work and customer service while Chris enjoys keeping the Urban Ecology Center nice and tidy by helping out with various cleaning tasks throughout the afternoon.

Meet Heather B. Heather recently completed her job-readiness experience with the Community Access Program and is now working with Supported Employment, which helped her quickly get a job at the Wisconsin Athletic Club.
