One of the reasons we love Mother's Day here at Goodwill (besides celebrating Mom), is that you can find the supplies for your Mother's Day gift, or even the full gift itself right on our store shelves! Each Goodwill Store & Donation Center has a unique selection of items that can be repurposed into something else. And, by donating, you allow more than one person to cherish a single item. Cinco de Mayo Crafts

According to History.com, Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army's 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867). In the United States, Cinco de Mayo has evolved into a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage. No matter your nationality, there are many ways to take part in this festive time of year. Using items from Goodwill, you can decorate your home in one of both of the craft projects below!

Goodwill Industries® Week was first celebrated in May 1951. This year, we celebrate the 61st Goodwill Industries® Week, May 6 through May 12. This time is especially important for us to thank supporters of Goodwill, and most importantly, recognize and celebrate the people Goodwill serves.

In 2011, we served more than 48,000 people. We currently employ more than 5,100 people; 1,330 of which are individuals with disabilities. Below are just a few of the many success stories that have come from Goodwill's training and employment services.
