2020 Ultimate Upcyling Contest Winners Announced:

We asked you to create something unique by taking one item and repurposing it to make a different item with a completely different purpose from items found around your house for our 2020 Ultimate Upcycling Contest.

We received over 100 entries, you voted, our judges voted, and now we have our winners!

First Place Winner: Kailyn M.

"I made a Little Free Library out of a broken, antique pedestal.  I fixed the pedestal and attached shelves to the top using repurposed wood, license plates, and yardsticks.  I switched the knobs on the drawers to card catalog pulls.  These drawers will hold magazines and a geocache.  Because I plan to place it in a local coffee shop, I attached an old espresso set and a quote as decoration."

Second Place Winner: Mary B.

9

"Full size headboard upcycled to fireplace mantle. Used paint and cork board from back of headboard. Electric fireplace"

Third Place Winner: Jody M.

8

"I made an origami container out of a 1975 license plate. I cut the metal, sanded the sharp edges, and folded it into the shape of a box."
