Winter Fashion Trends 2018

Faux Shearling

Ethical, practical and totally on trend… faux shearling has fully enveloped the fashion scene in comfort that’s both warm and stylish. Most common for this fuzzy look is on outerwear, which we cannot get enough of. We love the rustic feel shearling’s textures brings to an outfit. This fuzzy fabric pairs great with leather, so you’ll most often see that combination. You’ll also see this trend wrapped on shoes, which is perfect for that added cushion and warmth. Shearling tends to lean more casual, so keep your look classic and simple by pairing your jacket or shoes with your favorite pair of blue jeans!

Chelsea Boots

Chelsea boots are a staple this season for both ladies and gents! We love that they’re casual and relaxed yet totally sophisticated at the same time. Often found in suede or leather fabrics, you’ll know a Chelsea boot by its signature elastic on the sides. We love this classic style paired with skinny jeans and a cozy sweater!

Plaid

It can be preppy, or it can be rock n’ roll, but no matter what, plaid is 100% classic holiday! This is one trend we will never get tired of seeing. This season, more than ever, you’ll see plaid elevated with fabrics that go beyond flannel. We love a classic plaid take on a blouse. This goes perfectly from office attire to a night out! We love the subtle plaid details we’re seeing too; plaid detail on the inside of jackets, plaid trim on coats, plaid on handbags and more. The best part? Goodwill almost always has plaid on hand!

Colorful Animal Print

Meow! Animal print is one of those patterns that continues to pop up year after year, and we just love seeing designers’ modern takes on it. This season, they’ve added color! This refreshing update gives, what is typically a neutral color palette, just the added pop it’s been craving. If animal print has never been “your thing,” this is the perfect way to dip your toes in. Look for a pastel palette; these soft hues really compliment the pattern without making it stand-out too much. Accessories are another great route for getting on board with this trend. Handbags, scarves and even earrings have been seen this winter donning the animalistic look.
