DIY Upcycle Projects

Upcycling is a relatively new term, but one you will hear more and more throughout this year and years to come. To upcycle an item or material, means to convert it into something more valuable by making it of higher quality and/or higher environmental use. Every time you upcycle something, you're preventing it from going into landfills; think of it as another form of recycling! Below are a few upcycling projects we've done ourselves and couldn't wait to share with you!

We love this upcycling project from Real Simple. It's not only simple and easy, but also completely customizable to the room you'll place it in! Get the kids involved on this one; they can choose a pattern that fits their play room or bedroom. Save and print the PDF of this project.
