We love this season’s trends, because they each have their own personality yet they work well together too. So, pack away the winter clothing that’s overwhelming your closet, and make room for high waist shorts, boat shoes, statement watches, coral pieces and silky t-shirts!

High-waist shorts are definitely not new to the fashion scene. Take a look back at the trends of the 1970s and you’re sure to find waist lines creeping above the belly-button! That’s one of our favorite parts about fashion; just because a trend runs its course doesn’t mean it won’t come back in the next decade, but with a fresh appeal. The retro appeal of high-waist shorts has contributed to their popularity, along with their versatility. Blue denim is the most popular style of high-waist shorts, and definitely the best way to show the trend. Pair these with a sleeveless button down and sandals, and you’ve got yourself the perfect casual summer outfit! Colorful high-waist shorts are the 2013 twist on this classic trend, and look great with loose blouses on top. Be sure to always tuck your tops into the shorts.
