Fashionable Fox - Turning Busy Patterns into a Soft, Flirty Ensemble

By Laura Fox, The Fashionable Fox

Hello there, loyal Goodwill followers!

In today’s post, The Fashionable Fox is providing tips on putting together the perfect flowy and flirty outfit.

Whether you have a special date night, or are just hitting the town with your closest pals, an outfit like this can be playful, whimsical and downright fun.

Pleated skirts and sheer blouses combined together create a look you are sure to feel beautiful in.

The outfit I am featuring here starts with a very bright and busy blouse. This Liz Claiborne top is a mixture of pink, red and navy colors. It also features a graphic dot pattern and small chest pocket.

This blouse may have a strong pattern, but when paired with other solid colors, it really steals the show. Speaking of steals, this top was equivalent to a steal at Goodwill for only $3.99!

I paired the blouse with a Merona from Target navy blue circle skirt. The color of the skirt matches the navy polka dots in the top, which allows these pieces to work together so well.

The skirt has fun pleats and is perfect for a twirl. I found it for only $4.99 at my local Goodwill.

Finally, I added on simple gray Merona from Target sweater tights. These tights are perfect for the winter weather because they are a heavier material that will keep you warm. These were also a Goodwill find for only $1.99.

To top it off, I wore nude-colored flats from Payless ShoeSource. I also added on a few minimalistic jewelry pieces that would only enhance the ensemble and not take away from it.

This look is very girly and a little romantic. I would definitely wear an outfit like this for a fun pizza date night, or if I am going out to enjoy a glass of wine with my girlfriends.

It’s always fun to dress up for a night out, and a look that fits great and compliments your personality will make your plans even more fun!

Until next time, shop smart and stay stylish!
