Spring is finally in the air! It has been a brutal winter here in Chicago, so I am ready for nice weather. We have had glimpses of 70-degree days, and it only gets me eager to shop for a new spring outfit. Goodwill is my first stop when I am looking for a refresh to my wardrobe because I know new clothes won’t break the bank.
As I searched through the racks at my local Goodwill, I was excited to find an item that has been trendy over the winter months - a corduroy button-down. I have spent the last few months trying to find a similar version of this, so it was to my surprise that I found it in a perfect spring color. This is a great transition piece for warmer days and what I love about this top is that you can wear it as a light jacket or as a cute top.
If you are like me, you are always searching for a new pair of jeans. I look for jeans that are trendy and comfortable, and I found just that with these cute Kut from the Kloth cropped jeans. They are boyfriend-style and are the perfect, effortless pair of jeans that I can throw on for any outfit.
I didn’t have a particular style in mind when shopping for shoes. However, as soon as I saw these adorable leopard-print platform sandals, I knew they were the missing piece in my wardrobe. Not surprisingly, I found more than one pair that I loved. These brown booties are also a closet staple, ones that can be dressed up or worn casually. They were also half off because they were part of the Tag Color of the Week!
Finally, no outfit is complete without a new purse. This leather beauty was sticking out behind many other purses, and I knew I had to take a closer look. Turns out, it is a Fossil purse that will be versatile with so many outfits this spring and even through the winter. I have learned that you can never go wrong with a brown leather purse. This one was in great condition and is complete with a shoulder strap.
I love the pieces I was able to find, and I hope this inspires you to browse your local Goodwill to shop for a colorful, new spring! Happy spring thrifting!
