I also like to frequent Goodwill stores at least once a week, so if you haven't seen me, you'll probably bump into me one of these days! And I'm very excited to be featured as a Goodwill guest blogger.
Whether you like to celebrate Galentine’s Day, Valentine’s Day, or don’t partake in either, take the month of February to share happiness with the individuals you love and cherish. Giving gifts is one of my favorite things in the world. Seeing the look on a friend’s face is what makes the moment so special, and I have to say, there is something to be said for a gift that was hand made. I think both parties involved feel something extra special because of the care and time it took to craft it.
This month, I wanted to spread happiness in a unique and simple way. I hand made these adorable, one-of-a-kind floral arrangements for a few of my friends. For less than $5 apiece, I was able to craft these simple yet elegant flower arrangements that are sure to put a smile on anyone’s face. I picked up these six unique vases from my local Goodwill store and then I went to my local grocery store and I was able to get all three of these flower bunches for less than $20.
If you haven’t shopped the vase selection at your local Goodwill, you must! From brand new to vintage, you will find a vase that fits your taste and stays in budget. I purchased all six glass vases for less than $10, and there were many more to choose from! I decided on floral arrangements because who doesn’t appreciate some fresh, beautiful blooms. Another fun and unique idea for a floral arrangement is to use a beverage pitcher or a small drinking glass with a fun design that will complement the flowers. The fantastic thing about shopping at Goodwill is when you walk through the aisles, you will discover unique treasures that are sure to spark your imagination!
A few other fun ideas to share the love this month:
- Skip the hassle of picking a restaurant, getting a reservation, and the expensive dinner. Find a cookbook and try out a new recipe for a night in with that special person.
- Try that DIY project you’ve had on your list!
- Shop the selection of picture frames and print out your favorite photo. Keep it for yourself or gift to a loved one.
