It’s officially summer! Time to bring the sundresses, shorts and tanks back into your wardrobe. For me, this means it’s the perfect time to head to Goodwill for some new pieces for the season.
Recently, I challenged myself to find 5 summer looks for less at my local Goodwill. After digging through the racks of great options, I found some amazing pieces for this challenge.
Look 1: The scarf top
As seen recently on celebs like Kourtney Kardashian and Bella Hadid, the scarf top trend is here to stay this summer. Essentially, this trend is tying a designer scarf around to make it a top. When I found this designer inspired LV scarf for $2 at Goodwill, I knew this was the time for me to rock this trend too. I paired with some straight leg jeans and glam accessories to bring the whole look together.

Look 2: The cut-out dress
This looks has always been something I wanted to rock but have never felt brave enough to try it. Until now.
The cutout dress has been seen recently on runways like Alice and Olivia, Victoria Beckham and Brandon Maxwell. When I found this look at my local Goodwill for $5, I knew it was my time to try and rock this look. I paired mine with a boyfriend blazer and a sleek ponytail so the dress is the main showstopper!

Look 3: Cottagecore
You might think that Cottagecore is a trend from TikTok and you would be right. However, this aesthetic is going to be a staple in summer fashion for 2021. So bring on the cute sundresses and straw hats!
I found this adorable tie strap dress brand new with the tags for only $5 and it paired perfectly with my wide brimmed straw hat.

Look 4: Denim shorts
In my opinion, denim shorts are a must-have! Recently, they were even seen on the runway for Givenchy and being rocked by so many celebs that it solidifies its spot as a summer staple for 2021.
I styled this super distressed pair with a boho tank also found at Goodwill. This entire look cost under $10!

Look 5: Color of the year
Did you know that one of the Pantone Colors of the Year is Illuminating? Which is a beautiful yellow color. And I admit, I didn’t think I could pull off yellow that well but this $6 dress proved me wrong. Paired with a denim jacket and a cute necklace, this look is ready for brunch with the girls.
