It is that time of the year for holiday family gatherings. I love hosting parties; it is one of my favorite things to do during the holidays. I have always wanted to put together a photograph-worthy tablescape, but I did not want to break the bank! After looking at numerous pictures for inspiration, I knew I wanted to have a lot of candles to create the perfect ambiance. I also knew I wanted gold and orange accent tones to match the fall season.
As soon as I got to my local Goodwill, I went straight to the candle section. I was on a mission to find gold candlestick holders and was so excited when I found some in varying sizes and heights. Adding different heights to your displays and centerpieces will give your setting more depth. To my surprise, I also found leaf tea light holders that I knew would be perfect.
The other section I like to check when I shop at Goodwill is the faux flowers. No matter the time of year, I am always on the lookout for some greenery. Whether it is a wreath or garland, faux greenery is always a great touch. Although I did not find any greenery this time around, I did find some cute fall leaf scatter.
When I was looking at mood boards and inspirational pictures, many had unique crystal glasses. I searched the huge glassware section at my Goodwill, and I found a set of four beautiful crystal glasses. They were only $2 each - you can’t beat that price!
Once I got home, I was excited to start laying out my table. First, I started with spacing out the large column candles along with the gold candlestick holders. Then, I filled in the space with smaller candles. After that, I had fun adding in some small pumpkin décor that I already owned. I was very excited to use my new napkin holders! I decided I was going to add the leaf scatter to my napkins for a cute fall accent. Everything turned out perfectly! I am so excited to host a small gathering and to show off my new tablescape. Thanks, Goodwill!
