Hi there! My name is Janette, and I am an avid thrifter. I shop at Goodwill often, and when I found out that there was a brand-new store opening in Melrose Park, I could not wait to visit. I am going to share with you my thoughts and experience while shopping at the new store.

I started by making a few donations in the drive-thru. Goodwill makes it so easy for you to make donations. As soon as I drove up, an employee met me at my car, making this process so quick. Once I dropped off my donations, I headed in to hunt for some new finds!

Once I made it into the store, my first thought is that everything looked clean, new, and the whole store was well-lit. The registers had a new rustic wood look, the fixtures were modern, and the selection looked amazing. I could not wait to start flipping through the clothing racks! The aisles were also nice and wide, which I loved because it helps with not feeling cramped while shopping along with other customers.

I have been on the hunt for some cute summer dresses, so I started in the dress section, and it did not disappoint. They had a wide selection, all in unique styles and sizes. After I had my hands full with a few dresses, I wanted to try them on. I never thought I could be impressed with fitting rooms, but I was! They had rustic wood, the doors were sturdy, and the rooms were spacious.

Next, I worked my way over to the home section. I loved how organized and big the selection was! The stylized end caps were my favorite part of the home section. They were organized by color and displayed different décor pieces like picture frames, candles, and throw pillows. For me, the end caps help me visualize what the pieces would look like put together at home.

As always, the staff was very nice and made checking out a breeze! I even had a reward that I earned for a discount on my purchase. In the end, I purchased a pair of new American Eagle shorts, a floral summer dress, and two flannel shirts for my husband. Overall, I would say my shopping trip to the new Goodwill in Melrose Park was a success!
