Goodwill Helps 'Deck the Halls' of 2017 Christmas Fantasy HouseGoodwill Home Décor Expert, Merri Cvetan, is among the 16 Milwaukee-area designers helping to decorate the 2017 Christmas Fantasy House. Opening to the public on November 8, and celebrating its 25th year, The Loretta Thompson Christmas Fantasy House is a holiday tradition in the greater Milwaukee area benefitting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin. Each year top designers join forces to turn a home, which is located in Muskego this year, into a spectacular winter wonderland.

Merri (also of MEC Design Studios), along with Pam Pierson, Goodwill's multimedia manager, and Cheryl Lightholder, Goodwill's communications manager, decorated the home's dinette (shown below) with repurposed items purchased at a Goodwill Store & Donation Center.

Running from November 8-12, the 2017 Christmas Fantasy House hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. from November 8-10, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on November 11-12. Free shuttle service for attendees to the house will be available from the parking lot at Kohl's on the northeast corner of Moorland and Janesville roads in Muskego.

The 10,000-square foot colonial includes more than 18 rooms, an indoor pool, billiard room and theater. Among the many festive features of the home is the "Festival of Trees," where guests can purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win either the decorations on a tree or a decorated wreath. Oranaments can also be purchased to take home, or to write a message of hope and place on the "Tree of Life," which will be displayed at the Ronald McDonald House throughout the holidays.

Advance tickets for the Christmas Fantasy House are available online or at numerous locations for $18. Children 12 and under are free. You can order tickets or find out point-of-sale locations at christmasfantasyhouse.com. Tickets will also be available at the house for day-of-event purchase for $20.
