Find me on:

Sometimes all it takes to “redecorate” is to add something unexpected to your home.

Chalkboard project

I found this vintage chalk board that a child probably practiced his ABCs and numbers over and over. (It saved a lot of paper!) It’s just too darn cute not to do something with it, so I hung it in the kitchen as a message board. This one also happens to be magnetic too. Since I’m not sure what was originally in the open space at the top, I decided to add an inspirational quote. But you could attach a photo or even your child’s artwork.

Even a modern kitchen can handle a bit of vintage charm. Remember, not everything has to match and it’s always a good idea to mix things up.
