It’s time to rethink your Halloween color palette. Instead of decorating with the traditional orange pumpkin, try painting them white instead. Not only can you create an elegant Halloween display, if you use faux pumpkins you can move them from your front porch to the dining room table at Thanksgiving.
I found several foam and wood pumpkins at Goodwill’s and spray painted them white. It might take a few coats to completely cover the orange, but the result is worth the effort.
For the month of October, I arranged the trio on a cloud of purple tulle illuminated with colorful lights. These beauties deserved to be treated like queens, so they got the royal treatments with crowns and tiaras. The whole display fits on an old wood chair right next to the front door. This year, every trick-or-treater will be expected to curtsey when they ring the doorbell!
Happy Halloween!
