A Promise of Spring

A Promise of SpringA Promise of SpringLike everyone else, I’m tired of waiting for spring weather! So I decided to bring the garden indoors. If nothing else, green plants remind us that warm weather is just around the corner.

Instead of the usual decorative pots lined up on the window sill, I created a garden “tree” from a candelabra I bought at Goodwill (for $1.99).

A Promise of SpringI chose glass punch cups ($.49 each) that fit the rounded candle holder and glued in place with glass and bead adhesive. You want a glue that’s strong and dries clear.

Look for small, terrarium size plants at a garden center. Don’t forget the potting soil. Be sure the adhesive is dry before you start planting.

The result is an adorable mini garden and a reminder that it will soon be spring.
