Toast the Bride and Groom

wine glassesWedding season is here! Congratulations to all brides and grooms! I know how expensive weddings can be, and I often get asked for clever ideas to make the reception personal but not cost an arm and a leg.

One very easy idea is to make wine glass place settings. Goodwill is a great source for wine glasses in all shapes and sizes. The best part of this project is none of them need to match. Look for similar stem height or bowl shape.

1. Wrap the stem with painter’s tape and paint the base with spray paint that coordinates with your wedding colors.

3. Another idea it to make personalized wine “charms”. I picked up a package of metal rim tags at the office supply store and painted them with the same chalkboard paint.

4.  Attach one to each glass and write a table number or name.
