Wrap It Up

wrap it upWe spent the last week working on wedding videos for Amazing Goodwill. Be sure to check back all summer for great wedding tips and ideas. I used button-down shirts for one of the projects when another idea occurred to me. Why not turn the gift into the gift wrap?

warp it up

1. Start by slipping a box inside a buttoned-up shirt.

Fold the bottom end up as you would with wrapping paper. You will need to use stick pins along with tape to hold it together. Make sure you insert the point into the shirt/box so the gift recipient doesn’t get pricked!

2. After the back is pinned together, flip the box over and tie the sleeves in front.

Do the same with a women’s blouse. I added a sparkly camisole and a floral posy to make the gift really special.

3. It works with pjs too. I wrapped the pajama top on the outside and tucked the bottoms inside the box.

Before you start, fill the box with accessories that go with the shirts and blouses. Add jewelry or scarves to the woman’s gift, a tie and socks for the men in your life and hand lotion and slippers are perfect with pjs.
