Have you ever put your phone down, leave the room and the only way you can find it is to call yourself? I’ve done it. Mine is usually buried under a stack of papers! My sister, Elaine, suggested a phone stand for my desk to avoid “misplacing” it. She’s a lot like me. She loves to update and especially embellish things.
She showed me how to turn a plain, red leather phone stand into one with personality using duct tape, a Sharpie, rhinestones and a charm.
First we “painted” the red leather with a black Sharpie. It’s permanent, dries instantly and there’s no mess. Much easier than paint and looks better, too.
Next we cut zebra duct tape to fit the front. (As you can see, it matches my phone cover!) Then I glued a large rhinestone to the front for added bling.
The skeleton key fob is just for fun. You could hang your initial or a souvenir key chain from your travels. Since it will sit on your desk, it should reflect your personality. This one is definitely me!
