Boxing Ring

Boxing RingOversized cocktail rings are big fashion accessories. The bigger and bling-ier the better. (Is bling-ier a word? It should be!). Like all your jewelry, keeping it organized and at hand makes getting ready in the morning a breeze.

You can make your own ring box in no time. It’s so easy, you’ll want to make one for all your girlfriends.

boxing ringFood tins (the decorative ones that were filled with candy or popcorn) are plentiful at Goodwill. Choose a shallow, square or rectangular shape box. The size will depend on how many rings you own. Spray paint it in a color to match your décor.

boxing ringI used a piece of felt for the insert. Felt doesn’t unravel and is stiff enough to hold its shape. Cut a long section (about four or five times the width) and 1/8” narrower than the depth of the box. Fold it accordion style and set inside.

The more folds you have, the more rings it will hold.

boxing ringI glued an old ring to the top just to make it prettier. Unless you drill a hole and use wire to hold it in place, the ring knob is purely decorative. (Don’t try to use it to open the top, it will come off!)
