The Luck Of the Irish

Posted by Jamie Klinger-Krebs on Mar 6, 2013 6:00:00 AM

St pats tagsEveryone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day! Even if you aren’t, celebrate anyway with hand-made cards. I hung mine up on a ribbon, but you could sign the back and send them as Lucky Irish wishes to all your friends.

1. First I glued torn book pages to basic manila tags.

Then I embellished each with shamrocks and any green thing I could find.

2. To make your own bit of clover, twist green pipe cleaners into shamrock shapes and glue buttons or old jewelry parts to the middle. Attach a pin back and you can wear one on your lapel.

3. Personalize your cards with rubber stamps. I found a package of clothes pins at Goodwill for only $.99 to attach them to a ribbon. Try decorating your mantle, a shelf or window. Maybe Irish luck will rub off and you’ll find your pot of gold.
