Christmas Tree for the Cook

Posted by Jamie Klinger-Krebs on Dec 12, 2012 12:18:00 PM

merri tree1If you’re anything like me, you’ve already decorated more than one Christmas tree in your home. As much as I love trees, they take up a lot of space. A simple solution is a small tabletop tree. This one is perfect for the kitchen.

1. Start with a little tree and add a string of lights. Then shop Goodwill and your kitchen for cookie cutters and cooking utensils. They make perfect ornaments.

I tied holiday ribbon on each piece to hang and to add some color.

The brass angel napkin rings fill in the empty spaces and were less than $1.00 from Goodwill.

2. Drape bead garland or string popcorn and cranberries! Wrap the base with a Christmas kitchen towel.

3. Every tree needs a topper. A wine cork screw almost looks like an angel! We spend so much time in the kitchen, why not make it festive?
