Tickle Your Mom Pink

Posted by Jamie Klinger-Krebs on May 8, 2012 4:09:00 PM

goodwill ask the expertsI always make brunch on Mother’s Day for my Mom, Mother-in-law and my family. This year, I plan to go over the top with my table. Many shades of pink, lots of bling and very girly.

A few weeks ago, I started looked for vintage dinner plates with a floral design in pink. Design Tip: It doesn’t matter if all your dishes match, as long as you choose a theme. In this case I chose pink flowers. I started with a pale pink tablecloth and added fuchsia placemats.

What could be more feminine than pearls? My napkin rings are also my gift to our mothers (no wrapping!). This wrap bracelet fits beautifully around the napkin.

A sentimental old photo will bring memories and maybe a few tears to the table. I purchased this glass bead bracelet with a gorgeous clasp for only $1.49 at Goodwill. Bisous means kisses in French.

For the centerpiece, I found various stands and pots ranging from $.99 to two for $3.99.

A few coats of spray paint and ropes of pearls add another layer of glamour to table. Don’t forget to check out the jewelry department every time you shop Goodwill. I’ve recently found several beautiful pearl necklaces.

Pamper your Mom on Sunday with a meal and table that says I love you!
