There is nothing quite like putting on a warm and cozy sweater to make everything all right with the world isn’t there? It’s like being wrapped in comfort and security. My favorite is a gray cashmere v-neck pullover that I can layer over t-shirts and other items.   

Did you know that Goodwill is one of the best places to look for fun, fashionable and functional sweaters? If you didn’t, you should head to one of our stores soon and check out the wide variety in our well-organized stores.  

As always, I have a tip for you. When buying sweaters look in both the men’s and women’s sections, no matter what gender you are. Certain types of pullovers and cardigans are virtually genderless, and they can keep you both warm and stylish at the same time. In addition, sometimes items of both genders end up in the opposite area because the styles are interchangeable.

I put together three mini collections of sweaters from one afternoon of shopping at my Goodwill. All ranged in price from $3.99 to $7.99! 

1980s Collection

Go for bold geometric patterns that bring out the fun and playful quality of that decade. Whether you want a bold tunic to wear over leggings, or a cardigan with some style—you just can’t go wrong!

Traditional Collection

I think of the traditional sweater as the ski-type pattern in a simple pull-over or turtleneck style. The orange one in the slideshow below is pure cashmere!

Fashion Collection

High fashion means looking for items that have more style than warmth, like the detail at the cuff on the black DKNY sweater, or the silver over-painted rough knit sweater from Bebe!
