For those of you who don’t want the fuss of an elaborate costume, but still want to join in the festivities with flair, why not put your creativity on display by making a simple Halloween fun sweater? I was inspired by the popularity of Christmas-themed sweaters, and this is what I came up with … a crazy pumpkin-patch look that will surely be noticed!
What you need:
- Sweatshirt or sweater that you no longer use in any shade of green. I found this fleece sweatshirt at Goodwill for $3.99.
- Garland with leaves, or vine-type faux floral. Mine was $1.99 at Goodwill.
- Five pumpkin decorations at .50/each = $2.50.
- Leftover leaves, etc. from other projects I’ve done = FREE!
- Glue gun.
How to:
I started by draping the vine around the sweatshirt after I removed the flowers. (I saved for later use.)
Glue leaves down to secure once you like how it looks. TIP: Put glue on the back of leaves and then press onto sweatshirt.
Glue pumpkins so they face out and stand out from the vine.
Fill in with extra leaves for a more lush pumpkin patch effect.
Now you can party on by simply donning this ghoul-tide apparel! When you think about it, Goodwill is a place where creativity reigns, and also where great Halloween costume looks begin!!
