The thing about kids is they always have something to say about the clothes they wear, am I right? Even though I don’t have kids, I have styled many kids for photo shoots, and I’ve learned their likes and dislikes first hand. As I prepare for yet another Amazing Looks photo shoot by shopping at our Goodwill stores, I’m struck by the amount of kids clothing and accessories that’s available on any given day.
When talking with kids, I find that they want to be involved in their choices of day-to-day wear. Goodwill is a great place to take your budding fashion icon for a few great reasons:
- You can allow them to pick items for themselves at a fraction of retail costs.
- Teaching your children the value of our mantra, “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle”.
- Letting them know that what they buy at Goodwill, or donate, goes to help their community by providing job training.
Take a look at the slide show below to see what goodies I found on a typical shopping excursion. Not only NWT (new with tags) items, but really cool kids’ clothes. So get out there and take yourself, as well as your kid, and get your shop on for back to school (and all year round) at a Goodwill store near you!
