After visiting New York City for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, I sometimes forget that six months after seeing a lot of runway looks, only a few will have a lasting impact on the fashion world and the public. But I can tell you that colorful slacks, jeans and pants are still going strong and show no signs of decreasing in popularity. If anything, they’re even more wildly fashionable! So now is the time to scope out the racks at the Goodwill Store & Donation Center near you for one of the season’s best looks at a price that won’t break your budget.

You can easily add color to your wardrobe year ‘round, but there is something special about the impact of colored jeans and slacks that make your look fashion forward. They can transform a simple t-shirt into a stylish ensemble and when layered with other colors, they can be a virtual candy land of couture! I think finding a cool pair of slacks or jeans in a shade you love is one of the easiest ways to put more “wow” into your everyday outfit.

Trend reports everywhere are listing a virtual rainbow of tones as their “it” colors, so you can’t go wrong no matter what tones tickle you! I love the names of the stylish shades being promoted such as poppy (red), geranium (coral-pink), orangeade (orange), canary (yellow), grass (green), tiffany blue (teal), hyacinth (purple blue), ink (navy), honey (warm tan) and sandstone (between off-white and beige).

Once you’ve found the perfect jazzy colored jeans, think about what you might want to wear with them. Whenever I wear my poppy-colored corduroy jeans I make them the star of the show, by matching them with a black, v-neck t-shirt and blazer.
