Spread Love This February

Hello, I'm Riva Treasure, a Milwaukee-based fashion and lifestyle blogger who likes to share my unique style and lifestyle with my What Riva Wore followers.

When I'm not designing and implementing strategic marketing plans for my clients at my day job or inspiring my blog followers to go ahead and pair a $20 blouse with an '80’s inspired neon puffer jacket, you can find me teaching Irish dance or helping my husband renovate our 1911 farmhouse.

I also like to frequent Goodwill stores at least once a week, so if you haven't seen me, you'll probably bump into me one of these days! And I'm very excited to be featured as a Goodwill guest blogger.

Q & A with Crystal L. - Goodwill's 2018 Ultimate Upcycling Contest Winner

1. What was behind your inspiration for the portable make-up vanity?

I've always wanted one. Since I was a little girl. I've become more and more interested in makeup, and applying it, to the point that I've joined groups on Facebook and watch tutorials. These women, all of them have one, and they're gorgeous, but my room just doesn't have the space. Plus they're expensive. So when I saw the chest, it was like bingo, here's my vanity!

Boho Elegant Themed Wedding Using Upcycled Items from Goodwill!

By Teri Peterson

What is the date and theme for your wedding and how did you come up with inspiration for it?

The date of the wedding is May 19, 2018.

The inspiration for a “Boho Elegant” themed wedding began with my desire to express myself as an artist, the love of hunting for exceptional items, and the challenge to host a smashingly beautiful wedding on a budget.

Goodwill Shoe Haul

By Laura Fox, The Fashionable Fox

HOLY MOLY! The Fashionable Fox hit the ultimate jackpot this month at my local Goodwill.

It was just like any other day... I was strolling the aisles when I came across a basket FULL of brand new shoes from Target! Is this real life?!

As with anything at a thrift/resale store, you pray to the shopping gods that it's your size, and lucky for me, the bulk of these shoes were in my 8-9 shoe size range. WAHOO!

With the fall season upon us, I naturally think of Christmas gifts for family, friends and colleagues. An all-out gift-giving frenzy is not my style. Nope. I’m centered on one-of-a-kind AND cost-effective presents. My 2016 agenda is protecting my home’s surfaces using recycled materials that flash style—beverage coasters! The good news is Goodwill has just about everything I need, literally.
