Julie's Favorite Item:
Sandals
"Went to Chicago shopping. Heard that neutral colored shoes make your feet smaller, so I bought them. They are unique.”
Julie is a great illustration of how a wonderful little summer dress can have a huge impact if you look for the right things. Bjorn chose this floral print dress because of the intricate detail at the neck, waist, and hem. Always look for items that have little details that make them special, it will help you to stand out in a good way!
To keep the summer vibe going, Bjorn added chandelier earrings, one gold necklace, and one necklace that had a bird as a theme. A large brown wooden bangle and straw market bag go perfectly with her neutral sandals. Julie looks good to go for some city shopping or summer party. Elements like wood, straw, and other nature inspired pieces like the bird necklace portray just the right amount of bohemian chic with our fabulous summer dress!

Matt's Favorite Item:
Coach Leather Sandals
"Purchased from Goodwill. Comfortable, loved the deal.”
What more does a guy need for summer than a good pair of shorts, sandals and some shirts? Matt already had some great Coach brand sandals that he got at Goodwill many years ago for an unbelievable price. Starting there, Bjorn created some knee length cargo shorts out of some long pants by simply cutting off to the desired length and then using fusible hem (available where sewing supplies are sold) to finish them.
In our first look, a terrific vintage polo in a windowpane check is just right. In the second look, we simply layered in a bright blue t-shirt with a plaid western style button down short sleeve to give him a different look.
Simple isn’t it? There is certainly nothing wrong with a guy wearing a plain t-shirt with his shorts, but jazzing it up by looking for more unique shirts definitely makes a better statement for our model Matt!
From Goodwill:
- Lilly d’ache Brown/tan shirt (Look #1) - 3.99
- Blue t-shirt (Look #2) - 3.99
- Company 81 Blue/white plaid (Look #2) - 4.99
- Green shorts (pants turned into shorts) - 4.99
