Matt—A classic masculine look

My plaid cashmere coat really stands out and is my favorite item. It reminds me of what my grandfather would have worn and it's a classic!

Matt is a personal trainer, and is interested in fashion as well as fitness. For him, I started with an orange and tan hoodie that I knew I could build over the rest of the early fall outfit.  Relaxed straight-leg distressed jeans and leather trainers complement the pullover. Topping everything off is his favorite item the awesome hound’s-tooth plaid wool car coat. This just pulls everything together for a fashion forward look. The aviator sunglasses keep the masculine style classic, yet modern too.  This coat is an example of thinking outside the box when it comes to outerwear. Look at cloth coats and leather the next time you’re at the Goodwill Retail & Donation Center in your neighborhood. You can dress these pieces up or down and layer them with cotton t-shirts, cashmere or wool sweaters, knit scarves and hats, to take the look into the colder months.

Julie—Chic and simple

On Julie we start her look with her favorite item—skinny jeans!  Jeans are made to be the basis for an outfit.  The straight leg makes her look slender.  To capitalize on this I found these Michael Antonio rhinestone encrusted mules, an asymmetrical one-shouldered top in periwinkle blue, and the metallic blue handbag. It helps toughen up this look and make it daytime appropriate. The top with its asymmetry makes this look special, yet age appropriate. The shoes are really a statement with a metallic leather heel, and the jeweled straps. We kept the jewelry simple with a small bracelet and small dangle earrings.  This look is a great outfit for a day in the city, or out having lunch with your friends. Chic, simple and the perfect look for our model Julie.
