Tie Shopping at Goodwill for Your Next Job InterviewAn in-person job interview is a great opportunity to make a visual impression as a professional. The interviewers pay close attention to detail. This includes shoes, hair, suit and especially your tie. When you’re dressing for your interview, you want to look professional and stylish. Goodwill is the best place to find nice, inexpensive ties. You can usually find any tie at Goodwill for under two three bucks. I recently went to Goodwill store in Aurora, IL (1543 Mesa Ln, Aurora, IL 60502) to find ties for a few upcoming interviews. I was extremely happy to find ties all for $1.50!

Solid-colored ties are the most neutral ties to choose. They are not too flashy and do not draw too much attention to your outfit. Yes, you want your outfit to be noticeable but you do not want it to be a distraction. These ties can be paired with shirts that are solid are striped.

I am a huge fan of ties with detail. Whether that detail is in the stitching or there is a small splash of color in the tie, these ties are a great way to liven up your outfit and show your interviewer that you are series about your fashion. These ties can be paired with solid-colored shirts. Try to stay away from matching these ties with stripes or other shirts that have a lot of detail. You want the attention to be on the tie specifically.

Striped ties are also another one of my favorites. When looking for these in Goodwill, I usually stick to ties that have no more than two or three colors. I was really excited when I found this tie because I have a navy blue suit that will go perfect with this. Try to stick with a color scheme when choosing these ties and always stick to a solid-colored shirt when matching these ties with an outfit.
